Rob Hofmann

Robert D. Hofmann is a seasoned architectural professional with over forty-five years of progressive experience spanning design, construction, and firm leadership. As Principal and President of Hofmann Design Group, Inc., he is committed to preserving the distinguished reputation for design excellence and client satisfaction that was established under Hofmann Associates, Inc.
His core competencies include guiding design direction with integrity—paying close attention to materials, construction techniques, building codes, and engineering integration—and managing projects with a sharp eye on quality assurance, space planning, schedule adherence, and budget constraints. In his role as firm leader and strategic overseer, he shapes longterm planning and policy, ensures financial health and operational robustness, and represents the organization to clients, stakeholders, and the public. Hofmann’s handson technical foundation—from architectural drafting to field carpentry and residential/ commercial construction—gives him a deep understanding of how design decisions impact actual buildability and functionality.
Over the years, his professional journey has included roles as Architectural Draftsman, Project Manager, Principal/Vice President, and since 2018 as Principal/Executive Vice President/Principal, during which he has led the firm through significant growth, enhanced profitability, and a sustained commitment to the legacy and culture established by its founder.
Outside the office he enjoys listening to his music, supporting the local sports teams, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Dan Woke

Dan Woke has over 18 years of diverse experience in the architecture industry, Dan brings seasoned leadership, technical expertise, and a client-focused mindset to every project. As Executive Vice President, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s vision and guiding complex projects from initial concept through final completion. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Temple University and a Master of Architecture from Morgan State University. His educational background that has deeply informed his approach to maximizing site potential and building efficiency, allowing him to create impactful, space-conscious designs that meet both functional and aesthetic goals.
Dan’s extensive portfolio spans a wide range of project types, including commercial developments, government facilities, residential communities, warehouses, and manufacturing centers. This breadth of experience gives him a unique perspective on design challenges across different sectors, and he excels at delivering innovative, tailored solutions that align with each client’s objectives. Dan’s collaborative approach has earned him strong, lasting relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors alike. His ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex project scopes makes him a trusted partner throughout the life of a project.
Kelly Simmers

With over 25 years of experience, Kelly serves as the Administrator and Permit Expeditor for HDG. She has worked closely alongside Rob Hofmann, building a strong professional partnership grounded in trust and expertise. Kelly’s deep knowledge of the permitting process and her exceptional organizational skills make her an invaluable part of the HDG team, ensuring that projects move forward efficiently and compliantly.
Alisa Holmes

Alisa is a Senior Project Designer with 18 years of experience. She started her career working with Rob Hofmann for 8 years and is now very excited to be part of the team at HDG. She received a Bachelors of Science and Environmental Design as well as a Masters of Architecture from Morgan State University. She brings experience and knowledge from working on multiple project types including commercial, interior tenant work, residential, industrial, and multi-family.
Hunter Engrassia

Hunter is a Project Designer for HDG with seven years of experience, including nearly 5 years working with Rob Hofmann. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from New York Institute of Technology and primarily works on new construction and tenant improvement projects.
